What is a Power Plate?
The Power Plate is a device you workout on to accelerate fitness through harmonic vibration. It has a base that moves side to side, front to back and up and down 30-50 times per second. The tiny micro vibration activates more muscles, burns more calories in a shorter amount of time, improves circulation, tightens skin, increases strength, improves core strength, burns fat quicker, improves bone strength, improves flexibility, assists in muscle recovery, reduces appearance of cellulite and increases lymphatic drainage.
Classes are only 30 minutes because your muscles contract 30-50 times per second in a Plate Strength class. 30 minutes of work on the plate is equal to 60-90 minutes of the same work on the floor. The vibration recruits your body to use more muscles to do more things more often. You will have 30-50 involuntary muscle contractions per second. You may sweat more quickly on the plate because so many muscles are utilized. As a result of increased blood flow (and oxygen circulating through muscle contraction), your body is simultaneously recovering while working out. There is no need for anything more than a 30-minute class. You will leave feeling fantastic and invigorated.
We have 12 plates so make sure to sign up early!

You are welcome to park anywhere behind the building. There is also street parking on the corner. Our front door is off the parking lot. Please use that door to enter the studio.
